Welcome to West Virginia's official online hauling permit system. This site issues permits for oversize and overweight vehicles along state owned routes. This includes Interstate, Turnpike, US, WV, and County routes. Permits for local or city routes should be obtained from those respective agencies. Single trip Oversize/Overweight/Superload permits are not to be used for Mobile Homes
Overweight annual permits can only be utilized by combination vehicles with five (5) or more axles, single unit vehicles can only utilize an oversize annual permit.
Electronic as well as paper copies of hauling permits are now valid for travel in West Virginia.
An oversize permit shall not be valid during the nighttime hours of sunset to sunrise.

An oversize/overweight permit shall not be valid for the operation of a vehicle on the following 2023 holidays:
New Years Day: Sunday, January 1, 2024
The WV permit office will be closed on the following dates. Permits may still be applied for and even system issued during these times; however, any office processing required will be delayed.
